After 21 years of distinguished career with premier national parks  organizations, Davinder Khanna founded the Accounting Heritage Group (AHG) exclusively to serve the needs of small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who are trying to achieve their goals. Davinder is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

AHG emerged in 2010 from volunteer efforts while assisting small business owners to unscramble amateur efforts to use modern-day accounting software without necessarily understanding accounting principles or local and federal business laws or guidelines. There was a clear niche market that needed to be served. The company discovered the market and built services that address the specialized needs of dental practices, law firms, construction companies, retail stores, IT firms, and health spas.

The AHG has in-house professional expertise to serve its business clients. It also subcontracts with accounting and tax professionals on an as needed basis. The AHG provides services in the areas of accounting, tax, online marketing, and human resource. 

The demographics in the Mid-Atlantic region indicate a steady growth of young professionals, and also a large group of retirees who want to start a business as their second career. This dynamic has allowed for growth of AHG. Young professionals need dentists and lawyers. Retirees need IT, accounting and marketing services when starting a new business. And most small business owners are seeking low-cost services, that include regular communication and education of their finances, accounting and taxes. 

Growth in the company has spread from word-of-mouth from clients, referrals from CPA firms as well as on-line social media and other referring sites.

AHG philosophy is that it’s more important to be able to provide personal service to each client, and keep down the cost of subcontractors, than to focus on rapid growth.
